14 déc. 2013 · salprofish. I have an '03 7.3 that has an oil leak coming from the passenger side rear of the engine. My first impression was valve cover, nope not that. I got to reading because I cannot quite see where it is coming from and now believe it is either the EBPV or just the turbo base gasket. My truck in bleeding oil, after a couples hours of tracing upward, I found that the ebpv is leaking. It was a slow leak ( 1 gallon of oil in 5 hrs) but now it poured out a gallon in 5 mins. Oil leak from pedestal. 23 mars 2013 · I'm up north of the border. My EBPV has been disconnected all winter and no problem down to -30C. Mileage difference was unnoticeable, truck warms up just fine when you let it kick into high idle and sit there a while. 5 minutes or so and my temp gauge starts to move.
